Job Description:

The Senior Medical Officer, Paediatrics, will provide leadership and clinical expertise in the care of pediatric patients at the Princess Zahra Pavilion at Aga Khan University Hospital. This role demands an experienced pediatrician who will deliver high-quality medical services, manage complex pediatric cases, and contribute to the development of pediatric care protocols within the department.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical management of pediatric patients in outpatient and inpatient settings.
  • Supervise and guide junior medical staff, including residents and medical officers.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Manage pediatric cases requiring advanced diagnostic and therapeutic interventions.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of medical policies and protocols.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of patient care and treatment plans.
  • Participate in clinical audits and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct educational sessions for medical staff and contribute to training programs.
  • Participate in hospital committees and contribute to departmental strategy and planning.

Required Qualifications:

  • MBBS with FCPS in Paediatrics (or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in paediatrics, including 2 years in a senior role.
  • Valid PMDC registration.
  • Proven experience in managing complex pediatric cases and supervising medical teams.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care.

Key Responsibilities:
