The Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) is looking for a dedicated and skilled Medical Officer to join our healthcare team in Islamabad. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide primary healthcare services, including diagnosing, treating, and managing patients’ medical conditions.
- Assist in emergency medical services, providing immediate care when required.
- Collaborate with specialists and senior medical staff to ensure proper diagnosis and treatment plans.
- Record and maintain accurate patient medical histories, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Perform routine medical examinations and prescribe necessary treatments, medications, or further tests.
- Ensure adherence to healthcare protocols and regulations for patient care.
- Educate patients on managing their medical conditions, preventive care, and healthy lifestyle choices.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to improving patient care services and operational efficiency.
- Supervise junior medical staff and provide guidance and mentorship.
- Stay updated on medical research, new treatment methods, and medical technologies.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- MBBS or equivalent medical degree from a recognized university.
- Valid medical license from the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC).
- Proven experience as a Medical Officer, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.
- Strong clinical skills with the ability to assess and treat patients effectively.
- Knowledge of medical laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with patients and healthcare teams.
- Ability to work under pressure, especially in emergency situations.
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach with a commitment to high-quality healthcare.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Specialization in any medical field is a plus.
- Experience in a hospital setting with a focus on patient care and emergency response.

Eligibility Criteria:
- Pakistani nationality.
- Must possess a valid PMDC registration.
- No criminal record.
- Ability to work in shifts as required by the medical department.
